Job summary

Wabtec in Jackson, TN is hiring full-time Welders to weld fabricated, cast, and forged components using arc, gas-shielded arc, and submerged arc equipment. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 months of related training or experience, plus state welding certification.

Two shifts are available: 2nd shift, Monday–Friday 1:30 PM–10:00 PM, and 3rd shift, Sunday–Friday 9:30 PM–6:00 AM. Pay starts at $21.50–$23.00 per hour with a $1.00 shift differential, along with a comprehensive

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 months of related training/experience (or equivalent combination).
• State welding certification required.

Responsibilities

• Weld fabricated, cast, and forged components using arc, gas-shielded arc, and submerged arc equipment.
• Position, align, clamp, and fit parts together for assembly.
• Perform tack-welding, equipment setup, and part repairs as needed.
• Safely lift up to 50 lbs and follow all safety procedures.
