Wastequip Manufacturing Company LLC in Tyler, TX is hiring a Welder for a full-time manufacturing role. The ideal candidate has MIG welding experience in a fast-paced environment and can read blueprints and basic measurements. Responsibilities include precise tack welding, fitting parts, and maintaining safe work practices, with lifting up to 90 lbs as needed. Training provided as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Six months+ MIG welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret simple instructions, memos, and blueprints.
• Basic math, reading tape measures, fractions and decimals.
• Ability to follow detailed written or oral directions.

Responsibilities

• Position parts in jigs or fixtures and tack weld as directed.
• Welds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead lines.
• Connects regulators and adjusts gas flow for cutting and welding.
• Inspects welds for bead size and quality, grinds slag and excess weld.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.

The ideal candidate will be a MIG Welder with prior experience in a manufacturing environment.Hourly Rate: $19.84hrResponsibilitiesPositions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps parts together along layout marksLays out, positions, and tack welds work piecesWelds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead weld linesConnects regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders for cutting torch. Turns regulator valves to activate flow of gases, lights torch, and adjusts gas mixture and pressure to obtain desired flame.
