Wastequip in California is seeking a skilled MIG welder to assemble components and weld across vertical, horizontal, and overhead lines, following prints and jigs.

The role requires ability to read simple instructions, basic math, and tape measure reading; candidates should thrive in a fast-paced environment and adhere to safety and quality standards.

Formación

• MIG welding experience is required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and short communications.
• Knowledge of basic math and tape measure reading.
• Experience in a fast-paced production environment preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Position parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor and tack weld.
• MIG welds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead weld lines.
• Connects regulator valves to gas cylinders and adjusts flow for desired flame.
• Holds and guides torch; inspects weld bead size and quality.
• Grinds off excess weld, slag, or splatter; adheres to schedules and safety standards.

Job Description:Job Summary:The welder position will have expertise in MIG Welding techniques, by focusing on the assembly of components, parts, and structures as specified by prints, layouts and/or jigs and fixtures.Pay rate: $22.82Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Positions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps parts together along layout marks.Lays out, positions, and tack welds work pieces.MIG Welds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead weld lines.Connects regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders for cutting torch. Turns regulator valves to activate flow of gases, lights torch and adjusts gas mixture and pressure to obtain desired flame.
