Job summary

MAT Friction in Springfield, MN is seeking an entry-level to skilled MIG welder for our air compressor assembly line. You will perform wire-feed welding, read blueprints, and maintain quality while following safety protocols.

Training is provided to certify you for AMSE code pressure vessels. This full-time role involves repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new skills on first shift with opportunities for advancement and a solid benefits package

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; training provided.
• Welding experience - MIG.

Responsibilities

• We manufacture air compressors. Will perform wire feed welding, for which you will be certified/trained, including AMSE code pressure vessels.
• Production type welding using wire feed arc welders.
• Repetitive lifting of materials and product throughout the process up to 50 lbs.
• Troubleshoot weld problem and make adjustments to correct problem.
• We will train!
• Know and understand blueprints, learn how to identify welding defects and use weld gauges.
• Safety conscious, quality minded, good work habits and attendance.
