Job summary

Spacesaver Corporation in Fort Atkinson, WI is seeking a skilled Welder to join our manufacturing team. This Regular Full-Time position involves MIG and robotic welding, reading drawings, and ensuring parts meet customer specifications.

You will perform finishing, inspections, maintain safety, use ERP for shop orders, and participate in 5S and continuous improvement. The role favors accuracy, reliability, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Plus welding experience or a technical degree with related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and memos in English.
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools and instruments.
• Strong time management and attention to detail; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials and perform MIG welding and robotic welding (load/unload).
• Complete metal finishing operations to meet drawings and specifications.
• Follow safety procedures including Lock Out Tagout and machine start/stop.
• Perform quality inspections using precision measuring tools.
• Maintain production efficiency and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Use ERP system to manage shop orders and report production data.
• Participate in 5S practices and preventative maintenance.
• Assist in other areas as needed and work with minimal supervision.

What You'll Do

• Preparing materials and performing MIG welding and robotic welding (load/unload).
• Completing metal finishing operations to meet customer drawings and specifications.
• Following all safety procedures, including Lock Out Tagout, ergonomic practices, and machine start-up/shut-down.
• Performing quality inspections using precision measuring tools.
• Maintaining production efficiency and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Using our ERP system to manage shop orders and report production data.
• Participating in 5S practices and preventative maintenance.
• Assisting in other work areas as needed and working independently with minimal supervision.

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, plus:
  • 35 years of welding experience OR
  • Technical degree and 1 year of experience.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, drawings, and memos in English (translation assistance available upon request).
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, protractors, etc.).
• Solid computer skills for navigation, scanning, and data entry.
• Strong time management, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety and continuous learning.
