Job summary

Spacesaver Corporation in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin is seeking a Machine Operator for the 2nd shift to run preset machines and fabricate parts per shop orders.

You will read orders, perform quality inspections with calipers and scales, follow safety protocols, and use our ERP system for order tracking. A high school diploma is preferred, with basic math and data-entry skills required, and the ability to work overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Able to pass basic math and measuring assessments.
• Familiarity with PC navigation, scanning, and data entry.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions in English.
• Skilled in using precision measuring tools (calipers, scales, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and multitasking.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate preset machines such as press brakes, turrets, spot welders, punch presses, and roll formers per shop orders.
• Follow safety protocols, including Lock Out Tagout and ergonomic practices.
• Read and interpret electronic and written shop orders.
• Perform quality inspections using blueprints and precision measuring tools.
• Maintain production efficiency and complete tasks according to schedules.
• Use Spacesaver's ERP system for shop order management and reporting.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist in other work areas as needed.
• Always work safely and adhere to scheduled hours, including overtime when required.
