Job summary

Park Industries in Saint Cloud, MN is seeking a Welder 1 to weld steel for mechanical strength, safety and appearance. You’ll read drawings and welding symbols and perform MIG welds under direct supervision. This full-time role runs Monday–Thursday, 4:00pm–2:30am.

• One year related experience and/or training, or an associate degree preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and study project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble components to close tolerances and specifications.
• Deburring and cleanup of weldments; assess own work to ensure quality before part leaves work cell.
• Produce consistent MIG welds on components to close tolerances and specifications.
• Retrieve blueprints off the network and study blueprints to determine project task sequence and requirements to fabricate assemblies and sub-assemblies.
• Use auxiliary equipment and tools (drill press, drills, taps, reams, hand grinder, band saw, etc.) safely and effectively.
• Stress relief parts using meta-lax stress relieving system.
• Support maintenance and continuous improvement activities.

Other Duties (non-essential)

• Perform or requests in-shop maintenance as needed
• Examine areas of opportunity for continuous improvement of current processes, procedures, and quality
• Complete Non-Compliance Reports (NCR) as necessary
• Follow work center schedules
• Provide input to ensure routings and drawings are correct
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned

Hours for this position are Monday - Thursday 4:00pm to 2:30am

Pay Transparency Statement

In accordance with pay transparency regulations, the anticipated starting hourly rate for this position ranges from $19.50 - $27.00 with $1.75 shift differential. Please note that the hourly range provided is an estimate and not a guarantee; the final offer will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, location, and assigned shift. Full-time employees may also be eligible for variable compensation, company-wide incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package. Additionally, the availability of benefits and programs may vary depending on the hire date, employment type, and hours worked.
