Welder 1

A Welder 1 is responsible for assisting in fabrication and welding of frames for large industrial HVAC equipment. This role is responsible for learning how to build our products, maintaining a clean working area, and focusing on quality craftmanship. The ideal worker will have some experience in welding and is willing to do more than weld for a full shift.

Job Duties:

· Learn safety procedures and adheres to them strictly.

o Reach out to safety rep in shop for questions.

o Goes to Safety Supervisor with issues.

· Performs basic welding tasks under close supervision.

o Caulking, squaring, cleaning, peeling plastics

· Welds to XeteX Standard under direct supervision.

· Assists in the fabrication and welding of HVAC equipment under supervision.

· Handles tools and equipment with guidance.

o Power tools such as drills, grinders, sander

· Responsible for cleaning work areas and maintaining equipment.

· Learns to read and interpret blueprints under supervision.

· Learns and follows all quality procedures.

· Assists higher-level assemblers as required.

· Develops foundational skills in HVAC welding.

· Participates actively in on-the-job- training programs.

· Actively listens to instruction from higher level personnel.

· Communicates all needs and questions clearly and concisely with leadership.

· All other duties assigned.

Requirements

· High school diploma or equivalent, certification or degree in welding preferred

· Previous experience in welding.

· Proficiency using hand and power tools such as drills, saws, and grinders.

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings.

· Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.

· Physical stamina and ability to perform job functions.

Vertical mig weld test conducted during the interview process so please come prepared for test with proper clothing, and PPE. We prefer you bring your own helmet for the weld test.
