Job summary

Chase Doors in Woodbury, MN is seeking an entry-level welder. This role welcomes candidates who have just earned their welding certification or have up to 1-2 years of experience and want to join a supportive team. The pay range is $23-$25/hour. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7am-3:30pm, with a benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Certification in welding preferred or recent graduate with <2 years’ experience.
• Must be able to read drawings/blueprints.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Attention to quality control required.

Responsibilities

• Perform ordinary and repetitive hand welding operations.
• All MIG welding.
• Care required in clamping parts in relative position to avoid distortion.
• Operate welding equipment; regulate current and voltage or gas and feed rate for proper fusion of metals.
• Heavy lifting may be required.

• Must be able to plan and layout welding sequence, referring to drawings, blueprints, or specifications.
• May layout and mark weld points on parts or assemblies using a tape measure, square, scribe, or templates.
• Must be proficient at reading work orders.
• A concern for quality control is a requirement.
