Job description

Responsibilities / Tasks

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. This role involves reading and interpreting technical drawings to perform layout, marking, cutting, welding, and finishing of stainless-steel components, including tanks, frames, ducting, and various structural and geometric shapes. The ideal candidate has experience with multiple welding processes, understands industry standards, and prioritizes safety and quality in their work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and weld symbols to execute fabrication tasks.
  • Lay out, cut, fit, clamp, and tack weld components to ensure proper alignment and assembly.
  • Perform welding using MIG, TIG, and GMAW processes on various joint configurations and material thicknesses.
  • Assemble multiple components into complete, high-quality weldments.
  • Operate hoisting and rigging equipment safely to maneuver large or heavy parts.
  • Use plasma cutting torches and other fabrication tools as needed.
  • Polish, grind, and clean metal surfaces and welds for a professional finish.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards.
  • Identify defective materials, unusual conditions, or operational issues and report them to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workspace, following company safety policies and procedures.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as hand trucks, carts, and pallet jacks.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Profile / Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required .

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have classroom weld training or demonstrated welding experience with relevant welding processes . Degree or certificate from technical welding school is preferred.
  • Fabrication experience or knowledge advantageous.
  • Must have g ood blueprint reading skills.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Summary Pay Range

$25 - $35 per hour

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
