Job summary

SIMPLY STAFFED is seeking a Fabrication Welder in Waterloo, IA for a first-shift position. You will weld large and small weldments, lay out parts, and fabricate per blueprint requirements to meet production schedules.

A weld test is required, and the role requires keeping the work area clean and organized. Candidate must have 2+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing setting, be able to read blueprints, and use measurement tools.

Job Summary of the Welder:

The Fabrication Welder will be responsible for welding large and small weldments. Must be able to lay out parts and fabricate as needed, read prints, and pass a weld test. Produce all parts as per blueprint requirements in a timely manner to meet production schedule. To keep work area clean and organized. This is a first shift position, and pay is commensurate with experience. Subject to a drug screening and background check.

Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Welder:

• 2+ years of experience in welding in a Manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Proficient in measuring and calculating fractions and decimals.
• Must be able to utilize various measurement tools, including but not limited to square, angle square, calipers, and tape measure.
• Use of wrenches, air tools, handheld grinders, overhead cranes, steel handling, and frequent lifting required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to stand / or be on your feet all day.
