Responsibilities

  • Perform welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other metals.

  • Read and interpret blueprints and welding drawings.
  • Prepare materials and joints for welding and set up equipment.
  • Produce high-quality welds following procedures and specs.
  • Inspect welds for defects and rework as needed.
  • Maintain tools and work areas; follow safety PPE policies.
  • Collaborate with fitters and assemblers to meet production schedules.

Job Summary

M&M Talent Group is seeking skilled Welders for a full-time opportunity in Waller, TX.

The Welder will perform welding and fabrication work on components used in industrial equipment and gas-compression packages. Candidates should be comfortable working from blueprints and fabrication drawings and have experience producing quality welds in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other metals as required.
  • Perform MIG/GMAW, Flux-Cored/FCAW, and/or TIG/GTAW welding depending on production requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and weld procedures.
  • Prepare materials and joints for welding.
  • Set up welding machines and select appropriate settings, wire, electrodes, and shielding gases.
  • Produce consistent, high-quality welds according to established specifications.
  • Inspect completed welds for defects and quality.
  • Perform grinding, cutting, fit-up, and other fabrication tasks as required.
  • Make necessary weld repairs or corrections.
  • Use grinders, cutting equipment, measuring tools, and other fabrication equipment safely.
  • Maintain welding machines, tools, and work areas.
  • Follow established welding procedures and quality-control requirements.
  • Work closely with fitters, assemblers, material handlers, and other production personnel.
  • Follow all safety policies and PPE requirements.
  • Meet established production schedules and quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Previous industrial or manufacturing welding experience required.
  • Experience with MIG/GMAW and FCAW preferred.
  • TIG/GTAW experience is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
  • Ability to understand and follow welding procedures.
  • Ability to produce quality welds consistently.
  • Ability to pass required welding tests.
  • Experience welding carbon steel and/or stainless steel preferred.
  • Familiarity with industrial fabrication practices.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a fabrication team.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and climbing.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required.
  • Ability to work around heat, sparks, fumes, noise, and industrial equipment.
  • Ability to wear required welding PPE.
  • Ability to work in various positions depending on fabrication requirements.
