Job summary

Key Technology in Walla Walla, WA, is seeking a Welder to join our food-processing equipment production team. You will fabricate stainless steel components, read blueprints and engineering drawings, and fit and weld assemblies and sub-assemblies.

You will work in a high-energy plant, with opportunities to develop skills in GMAW and GTAW, operate fixtures and gauges, and contribute to a reliable, safety-conscious operation. Swing shift offers a 4-day week and a 15% shift differential.

Qualifications

  • High school education, community college weld program, technical weld school, or equivalent experience.
  • Three years’ experience in welding fabrication. Basic GMAW and GTAW abilities.
  • Knowledge of gas torch and plasma equipment, overhead crane operations, pneumatic hand tools such as grinders.
  • Able to use fixtures, templates, stops and/or guides.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate stainless steel equipment for food processing using blue-prints and engineering drawings to fit and weld assemblies and sub-assemblies.

Job Responsibilities

As a Welder, you will work in a dynamic, high‑energy production environment to fabricate stainless steel equipment used in food processing. You will use blue‑prints and engineering drawings to fit and weld assemblies and sub‑assemblies.

Qualifications
  • High school education, community college weld program, technical weld school, or equivalent experience.
  • Three years’ experience in welding fabrication. Basic GMAW and GTAW abilities.
  • Knowledge of gas torch and plasma equipment, overhead crane operations, pneumatic hand tools such as grinders.
  • Able to use fixtures, templates, stops and/or guides.
Preferred Skills
  • Skills in all forms of GMAW welding.
  • Competence in reading and fully understanding manufacturing drawings.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to contribute to the team’s performance.
  • Confidence with measurements, tolerances, and both imperial measurement and metric system.
Other Information

Position is contingent on successful completion of weld written and practical tests. Swing Shift offers a 4‑day work week schedule and a shift differential equal to 15% additional pay.
