Qualifications

• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Produce weldments to the specified documentation using both prints and job paperwork.
• Weld various grades of carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Layout and fabricate custom products to drawings.
• Utilize fabrication tools such as oxy‑acetylene torches, plasma cutters, magnetic‑based drills, multi‑spindle drilling machines, and other equipment as necessary.
• Set up, operate, and maintain tools and equipment for SMAW, MCAW, GMAW, and spray‑arc welding.
• Fit all assemblies and subassemblies to ensure accuracy and quality control.
• Operate overhead cranes and other shop equipment safely.
• Complete all required documentation.
• Perform all other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, Trade School Certificate or equivalent.
• Experience with SMAW, MCAW, GMAW, and spray‑arc welding.
• Must be certifiable and able to pass the AWS D14.1 certification test.
• Basic hand‑tool proficiency (grinders, drills, tape measures).
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes as needed.
• Reading tape measures and blueprints.
• Clear communication with factory supervision.

Work Environment

• May need to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Stand 75%, walk 20%, stoop, kneel or crouch 5%, as required.
• Climb portable ladders.
• Wear safety glasses and foot protection throughout shift.
• Wear hearing protectors in moderate noise environments.
• ADA Physical/Mental/Workplace Requirements.

Compensation

Wage range:

• Welder I: $20.80 – $31.20
• Welder II: $23.02 – $34.52
• Welder III: $25.20 – $37.80
