Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Welder for our client in Grand Island. The role supports the Production Department and the Fabrication and Manufacturing Team. Expect to weld using TIG and MIG processes, align with production schedules, and follow blueprints and specs.

The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of welding experience, certification, and the ability to work safely in a team environment. Competitive pay and overtime opportunities are offered, with benefits after 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and strong teamwork are essential for producing quality welded parts.
• Reading and following work instructions, blueprints, and customer specifications.
• Certified TIG/MIG Welder or equivalent hands-on welding experience.
• Physically able to lift heavy materials and perform in a safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel, ductile iron, and aluminum.
• Produce quality parts according to schedules and targets.
• Read and follow blueprints and customer specifications to ensure product quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and adhere to safety standards.
• Assist with additional fabrication duties as needed by the Plant Manager.

What’s the Job?

• Perform TIG and MIG welding on a variety of materials including stainless steel, ductile iron, and aluminum.
• Produce quality parts according to production schedules and manufacturing targets.
• Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and customer specifications to ensure product quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to all safety standards.
• Assist with additional fabrication and production duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.

What’s Needed?

• 5-10 years of welding and fitting experience with stainless steel, ductile iron, aluminum, and other materials.
• Certified TIG/MIG Welder or equivalent hands-on welding experience.
• High School Diploma or GED; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, bend, and perform physically demanding work.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, maintain quality standards, and work effectively in a team environment.
