Job summary

Big Tex Trailers is seeking a Welder to fabricate, assemble, and weld metal components for trailers. You will read blueprints, set up parts, and weld in vertical, horizontal, or overhead positions while ensuring quality and safety. The role requires aligning and inspecting welds and maintaining equipment.

You will support a team environment and assist others as needed. The position emphasizes a strong safety mindset, adherence to 5S and safety standards, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and

Qualifications

• Must have a safe working environment mindset.
• Must pass a drug screen.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Preferred – 2 to 3 years of Industrial Welding experience.
• Preferred – HS diploma or GED (if not already listed)

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.
• Set up components for welding according to specifications.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
• Maintain equipment in a safe, clean condition and adhere to safety standards.
• Assist other welders in completing work to maximize efficiency.

Welder Big Tex Mt. PleasantThe position of a Welder is of great significance to our organization. This position fabricates, assembles, and welds metal/steel components on various trailers to SOP’s/Blueprints/Knowledge /Foreman and/or Lead Instructions. Assist other welders in the completion of trailers. Inspect welds to ensure quality standards are meet.
