Job description

Job Title: Welder

The Welder will be required to carry out cladding on machined parts to a high degree of quality and work on their own initiative to meet the production schedule of the plant. The role involves welding various components related to Gas and Steam turbine repairs. Flexibility between first and second shifts may be required.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform visual and in-process inspections according to API and ISO quality standards.
2. Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
3. Overlay components using TIG & MIG welding per weld procedures.
4. Set up and weld components within specified weld procedure parameters.
5. Perform detailed grinding of components after weld repairs.
6. Adhere to Company Safety and Environmental policies.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 7+ years of experience preferred.
• Experience with foot control TIG and MIG machines.
• Experience with SMAW & GMAW welding procedures is preferred.
• Manual TIG welding experience.
• An advanced degree may substitute for experience.
