Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations in Stamford, CT seeks an experienced welder/technician to repair and maintain front and read load, roll-off containers, and fabricate steel components on trucks. The role includes MIG/TIG/arc welding, on-site service, and adherence to safety policies.

You will also perform grinding, cutting, painting, and paperwork, while contributing to a positive work environment and strong customer relations. Valid driver’s license preferred and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Welding experience.
• Ability to update work orders on a computer.
• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on front and read load, and roll-off containers; weld and fabricate as needed.
• Grind metal parts after welding.
• Weld steel and aluminum components using MIG, TIG and arc welding equipment.
• Bend steel components using a break and shear.
• Cut steel using a plasma cutter or torch.
• Fabricate steel components on trucks and containers.
• Install lids and wheels on containers.
• Paint repaired and/or new containers.
• Perform on-site repairs at customer locations.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
• Maintain a positive work environment with customers, vendors, and colleagues.

• Performs repairs and maintenance on front and read load, and roll-off containers, cuts/weld repairs to vehicle floors, bodies, packing blades, rails, fabrication.
• Grinds metal parts after welding
• Weld steel and aluminum components using Mig, Tig and arc welding equipment.
• Bends steel components using a break ad shear.
• Cuts steel using a plasma cutter or torch.
• Fabricates steel components on trucks and containers.
• Installs lids and wheels on containers.
• Paints repaired and/or new containers.
• Performs on-site repairs at customer locations.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Completes required paperwork.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
• Maintain positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.

Physical Requirements

• Lift, carry and push/pull at least 75 pounds.
• Climb into and out of equipment.

Required
