Job summary

Omega-Morgan in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to perform Stick, MIG, and TIG welding on various metals and to support mechanical maintenance as needed.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of welding/fabrication or mechanical experience, can read fabrication drawings, passes certification tests, and can work with minimal supervision, with OT availability.

Responsibilities

• Perform Stick, MIG, and TIG welds on various metals.

• Assist with equipment maintenance and minor mechanical tasks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot basic mechanical issues as they arise.
• Read plans and ensure welds meet fabrication specs.

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing Stick, MIG, and TIG welding on various metals, and utilizing cutting equipment tools. You will also support equipment maintenance by diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues, as well as performing general mechanic duties as needed.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

• Read project plans, blueprints, and other diagrams to perform tasks.
• Perform Stick, MIG, and TIG Welds on various metals.
• Knowledge of welding processes.
• Proficient with Oxy/Acetylene and Plasma Cutting equipment.
• Perform Mechanic duties on equipment as needed.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoot mechanical issues.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 2+ years' experience as a Welder/Fabricator/Mechanic
• Able to lift 50+ lbs.
• Must be able to pass Skills & Weld Certification tests.
• Must be able to read and understand fabrication drawings.
• Must be able to work with little to no supervision.
• Must be able to read, write, & communicate in English.
• Willing to work Overtime when needed.
• Must have a Toolbox with hand tools (list attached) to complete all duties.
