Job summary

IMKO Workforce Solutions seeks an on-site welder to demonstrate FCAW welding skills and pass the AWS D15.1 test within 30 days. Responsibilities include car repairs, disassembly/reassembly of truck components, raft components, and precise cutting with air arc and plasma cutters.

Candidate must be able to work at heights up to 16 feet, adhere to safe practices, and maintain punctuality and quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must pass AWS D15.1 weld test.
• Experience with FCAW welding and multiple positions (2G, 3G, 4G).
• Knowledge of safe work practices and ability to work at heights up to 16 ft.

Responsibilities

• Pass AWS D15.1 weld test within 30 calendar days of employment.
• Perform general repairs with assistance from a skilled welder/carman.
• Jack cars and disassemble/reassemble truck components promptly and safely.
• Remove and reassemble raft components in a timely manner.
• Operate an air arc and plasma cutter; maintain quality and safety.
• Maintain regular attendance and positive, safety-driven work ethic.

#INDSTJOWelderDuties and Responsibilities:*This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position. Be able to demonstrate the skills to pass an AWS D15.1 welding certification test within 30calendar days of employment using E 71 Ti Flux Core wire and Co2 for a shielding gas. Must be able to perform some general repairs aided by a more skilled carmen/ welder. Jack cars, dissemble truck components and reassemble in a timely and safe manner. Remove and reassemble raft components in a timely and safe manner. Operate an air arc and plasma cutter. Must come to work and be efficient, quality minded and very safety driven. Positive Attitude. Regular and Predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent.
