PeopleReady of Princeton, MN is hiring welders to join our production team. You will set up components, weld with MIG/TIG, follow safety policies, and ensure quality through inspections.

Qualifications

• 2 years welding experience required.
• Must follow safety policies and lockout/tag out procedures.
• Ability to weld two or more different types (Mig, Tig, etc.).
• Read blueprints and use measurement devices such as calipers, micrometers, and fillet gauges.
• Forklift certification is preferred.
• Background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Weld according to specifications to produce metal components.
• Follow safety policies and lockout/tag out procedures.
• Set up components for welding and adjust welding machines.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces with the Quality team.
• Read blueprints and measure using calipers and gauges.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and equipment.
• Report daily production quantities to meet target parts per hour.
• Operate welding equipment in a production environment.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $18 - $25 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Welder:

• Advanced understanding of welding necessary to produce metal components
• Must follow all safety policies and procedures, including lockout/Tag out
• Ability to weld two or more different types (Mig, Tig, etc.)
• Set up components for welding according to specifications
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws with Quality team
• Ability to adjust welding machine
• Understand and accurately report daily production quantities to meet set number of parts per hour
• Consistent and accurate counts of materials and products
• Ability to do daily maintenance on welding machine
• Performs necessary quality checks on product and completes daily communication
• Ability to setup workstation according to safety standards to perform maximum efficiency
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain all equipment according to established procedures.
• Maintain a positive attitude with customers, clients, co-workers, and management
• Ability to complete the first part approval process for complex jobs
• May tack weldments or components for robotic welding
• May touch up points in the robotic weld cell

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
• 2 years welding experience required.
• Ability to safely perform work in varying work conditions
• Flat Weld Certification (1G - 6G) preferred - Aws D1.1 and stainless
• Working knowledge of welding with previous experience in manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to understand and follow instructions
• Effective problem-solving skills/detailed oriented/sense of urgency
• Ability to read blueprints and use measurement devices such as calipers, micrometers, and fillet gauges
• Ability to be forklift certified
• Ability to follow hoist safety protocols
• Self-motivated, takes initiativeAbility to lift 40 lbs. on a consistent basis
• Ability to stand for up to 10 hours
• Excellent hand/eye coordination
• Demonstrated ability to effectively use power tools
• Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
• Consistently wear personal protective equipment
• Ability to work in production facility with fluctuating temperatures and humidity levels
• Background check and drug test required
