Job summary

Hutco Inc. is seeking 1st class structural welders for a shipyard located in Port Allen, LA. A skill test will be conducted on site to determine capability. No TWIC card required. Long term work with lots of hours is available.

Work will be in a Port Allen, LA shipyard environment; overtime after 40 hours may apply. Medical/Prescriptions and other benefits are provided according to company policy.

Qualifications

• 1st class welders with shipyard experience.
• On-site skill test to determine capability.
• No TWIC card required; long-term work with lots of hours.

Responsibilities

• Enter and work in confined spaces.
• Manipulate and transport loads up to 50 pounds over distances.
• Operate machines and tools essential to welding task.
• Traverse gangways, scaffolding, and dock areas at varying heights.
• Work on dock and vessel with uneven surfaces.
