Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Welder in Pontiac, IL to support daily fabrication and finishing needs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will perform MIG welding on frames and steel components, read drawings, and follow work instructions to ensure quality.

The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and reliability, with opportunities for training and career advancement through the Production team. Shift is 2:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Previous welding experience in manufacturing/production.
• Ability to pass a company weld test.
• Understanding of weld setups, procedures and welding equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret welding symbols.
• Strong attention to detail and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and semi-automatic MIG welding on frames, beams, fixtures, end plates, and other steel components.
• Set up welding fixtures and equipment using work instructions, setup sheets, blueprints, and drawings.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, weld symbols, and fabrication specifications to produce accurate welds.
• Grind, finish, and inspect welded products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Track production quantities and complete required documentation accurately while maintaining a clean, organized work area.

Our client, Manufacturing is seeking a Welder to join their team. As a Welder, you will be part of the Production team supporting daily fabrication and finishing needs. The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment—bringing pride to every weld and consistency to every finished steel component.

Job Title: Welder

Location: Pontiac, IL

Pay Range: $20

Shift: 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

What's the Job?
