Job summary

Staffmark is hiring a MIG Welder for Pinckard, AL. The role involves reading blueprints, setting up and performing MIG welds on various metals, and maintaining equipment safely.

The position supports a safety-first manufacturing environment and requires attention to detail for quality workmanship. The candidate will work on the 3rd shift (Sunday–Wednesday, 8pm–6am) with base pay of $17.00 per hour plus a $2 shift differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational welding training preferred.
• Experience with MIG welding on steel, stainless steel, aluminum, or other metals.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Vocational training, welding certification, or technical education is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Experience performing MIG welding on steel, stainless steel, aluminum, or other metals.
• Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of welding equipment setup, welding techniques, and safe operating procedures.
• Ability to accurately measure, fit, and prepare materials prior to welding.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in welding positions throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift metal components, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely wear welding helmets, gloves, and required personal protective equipment.
• Ability to safely work around welding equipment, sparks, heat, and fabrication machinery while following established safety procedures.
