The position involves welding components using manual or semi-automatic equipment in vertical, horizontal, or overhead positions, reading blueprints, and ensuring weld quality. Qualifications

• 1yr minimum in welding school or on-the-job welding experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings (blueprints).
• Proficient with hand tools and safety-conscious in all tasks.
• Must be able to set a welder and work overtime when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment in vertical, horizontal or overhead positions.
• Set up and adjust settings of weld equipment and ensure quality inspection.
• Inspect welds for accuracy and integrity; read blueprints/drawings to plan procedures.
• Occasionally use hand plasma and angle grinders as needed.

Job description

Starting at $25.01/hr.

The compensation for this position will be determined by the candidate's level of experience. Monday-Thursday 10 hour shifts, possibility of overtime on Fridays

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Maintain clean, safe and organized work environment
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
• Setting & adjusting settings of weld equipment
• Inspect welds for accuracy
• Occasionally use hand plasma
• Occasionally reading blueprints and drawings and taking measurements to plan layout and procedures
• Determining the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
• Setting up components for welding according to specifications
• Occasionally operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
• Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

• Some experience with pulse MIG required
