Job summary

LBT INC is seeking an entry-level Welder in Omaha, NE to assemble tanker trailers by combining components per prints and work orders. The role requires reading tape measures and operating basic welding equipment. Training is provided for forklift usage and career growth into the Line Welder team.

Candidates should be able to work independently or in teams, maintain good housekeeping, and pass basic safety requirements including confined-space awareness.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read prints and work orders to layout components.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Entry level position with growth into Line Welder team.
• Forklift certification is available (will train).

Welder Position

Responsible for combining different parts and materials to form a tanker trailer.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to read prints and work orders to layout components.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Ability to wield a 4-5 lb. hammer a minimum of 1-2 hours a day.
• Must be able to weld (tac) and/or full seam. (Minimum 1-2 hours a day)
• Must be able to crawl through 16 inch manholes therefore must not be claustrophobic.
• Need to be able to use hoist and cranes.
• Utilize hand and power (electric and pneumatic) tools.
• Confined Space required.

Other Required Skills

• Must be able to work well alone or with a group.
• Practice good housekeeping and organizational skills.
• Forklift Certification if needed (will train).
• This is an entry level position for growth into our Line Welder team.
