Job summary

LBT, Inc. in Omaha, NE is seeking an entry-level Welder to join our manufacturing team. You will read prints, layout components, and weld tac or full seam under supervision.

Ideal candidates are able to read a tape measure, operate hoists and cranes, and handle confined spaces. This hands-on role provides training and a path to advanced welding positions.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read prints and work orders to layout components.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Must be able to weld tac and/or full seam.
• Must be able to crawl through 16 inch manholes therefore must not be claustrophobic.
• Need to be able to use hoist and cranes,
• Utilize hand and power (electrical and pneumatic) tools.
• Confined Space required.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must be able to read prints and work orders to layout components.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Ability to wield a 4-5 lb. hammer a minimum of 1-2 hours a day.
• Must be able to weld (tac) and/or full seam. (Minimum 1-2 hours a day)

Other Required Skills:

• Must be able to work well alone or with a group.
• Practice good housekeeping and organizational skills.
• Forklift Certification if needed (will train).
• This is an entry level position for growth into our Line Welder team.
