Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a skilled welder to join our North American operations. The role focuses on welding and fabrication to repair and maintain plant equipment, with emphasis on safety and reliability in an industrial setting.

You will read blueprints and weld symbols, operate MIG, TIG, and stick welding, and collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime while delivering quality workmanship. On-site work with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits awaits.

What You'll Be Doing

Perform welding and fabrication to repair and maintain plant equipment

Safely operate welding machines, cutting torches, and hand tools

Inspect equipment and welds to ensure quality and operational reliability

Identify repair needs and support maintenance activities to reduce downtime

Follow all safety standards and work collaboratively with plant teams

What Are We Looking For

Demonstrated ability to perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding safely and accurately

Capability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Commitment to safety and quality workmanship in an industrial environment

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check

Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing

Work Environment

Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
