Job summary

Monroe Truck Equipment, an Aebi Schmidt Group company in Monroe, Wisconsin, seeks a Welder to read blueprints, lay out and weld components using MIG, TIG, and stick processes, and fabricate non-engineered parts in a fast-paced shop environment.

You will set up equipment, tack-weld for position, and work from various positions while meeting safety and quality standards; the role requires a 1-year welding certificate or relevant experience and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Requires a 1-year certificate from a college or technical school in welding/fabrication or relevant experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Reads and comprehends blueprints.
• Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding from blueprints.
• Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together.
• Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds part to secure in position for welding.
• Sets up equipment and welds parts, GMAW MIG.
• Fabricate and design non-engineered parts.

Shift: 1stResponsibilities

- Reads and comprehends blueprints.

• Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding from blueprints.


• Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together.


• Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds part to secure in position for welding.


• Sets up equipment and welds parts, GMAW MIG.


• Fabricate and design non-engineered parts.

Qualifications

- One year certificate from college or technical school in welding/fabrication or relevant experience.

• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. without assistance.


• Ability to work from various squatting, kneeling, or bending positions.


• Ability to read, understand, and carry out instructions as detailed in blueprints.


• Proficient in adding, subtracting, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


• The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.


• Proficient in the computation of rate, ratio, and percent and its application in practical situations.
