Job summary

Monroe Truck Equipment, an Aebi Schmidt brand, in Monroe, WI, is hiring a Welder for 1st shift. You will read blueprints, select equipment, plan layout, and perform MIG welding (GMAW), fabricating and fitting components.

• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs without assistance.
• Ability to read, understand, and carry out instructions as detailed in blueprints.

• Reads and comprehends blueprints.

• Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds part to secure in position for welding.
• Sets up equipment and welds parts, GMAW MIG.
• Fabricate and design non-engineered parts.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school in welding/fabrication or relevant experience.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Ability to work from various squatting, kneeling, or bending positions.
• Ability to read, understand, and carry out instructions as detailed in blueprints.
• Proficient in adding, subtracting, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
• Proficient in the computation of rate, ratio, and percent and its application in practical situations.
