Job summary

Join a busy structural steel fabrication facility in Marietta, Ohio. MGR Workforce is hiring welders for a on-site, temp-to-permanent role with pay ranging from $20.00 to $30.00 per hour and a 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM shift.

We seek both experienced welders and those with foundational fabrication or welding experience. Proficiency in MIG welding, Flux Core, blueprint reading, and heavy industrial manufacturing is a plus.

Qualifications

• 0 to 7+ years of welding or structural steel fabrication experience.
• Experience with MIG (GMAW) and/or Flux Core (FCAW/Dual Shield) welding preferred.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and use measuring tools accurately.
• Experience fitting and fabricating structural steel is an asset.
• Trade school or welding certification is welcomed but not required.
• Experience operating fabrication shop equipment is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fabrication shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble structural steel components from shop drawings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Measure, cut, fit, align, and prepare steel for welding.
• Perform MIG (GMAW) and Flux Core (FCAW/Dual Shield) welding on structural steel.
• Grind, bevel, clean, and finish welds to meet quality standards.
• Operate fabrication equipment including overhead cranes, plasma cutters, band saws, grinders, and other shop machinery.
• Inspect completed work for accuracy, measurements, and workmanship.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Work closely with supervisors and fabrication team members to complete projects on schedule.

Hiring Process

Compensation

• $20.00 to $30.00 per hour
• Starting pay based on experience and practical skills evaluation
