Job summary

MGR Workforce is seeking Welders for a busy structural steel fabrication facility in Marietta, Ohio. We welcome experienced welders and those with foundational fabrication or welding skills aiming to grow their careers.

Experience with MIG welding, Flux Core (FCAW), and reading blueprints is preferred. This is a temp-to-permanent role with long-term potential for dependable employees, on-site in Marietta.

Shift: Monday to Friday | 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM

Department: Fabrication

Pay: $20.00 to $30.00 per hour (based on experience and practical skills test)

We are hiring Welders for a busy structural steel fabrication facility in Marietta, Ohio. We are looking for both experienced welders and individuals with foundational fabrication or welding experience who are ready to grow their careers.

If you have experience with MIG welding, Flux Core (FCAW), structural steel fabrication, blueprint reading, or heavy industrial manufacturing, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Do

• Fabricate and assemble structural steel components from shop drawings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Measure, cut, fit, align, and prepare steel for welding.
• Perform MIG (GMAW) and Flux Core (FCAW/Dual Shield) welding on structural steel.
• Grind, bevel, clean, and finish welds to meet quality standards.
• Operate fabrication equipment including overhead cranes, plasma cutters, band saws, grinders, and other shop machinery.
• Inspect completed work for accuracy, measurements, and workmanship.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Work closely with supervisors and fabrication team members to complete projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• 0 to 7+ years of welding or structural steel fabrication experience (For Junior and Senior Welder roles)
• Experience with MIG (GMAW) and/or Flux Core (FCAW/Dual Shield) welding preferred.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and use measuring tools accurately.
• Experience fitting and fabricating structural steel is an asset.
• Trade school or welding certification is welcomed but not required.
• Experience operating fabrication shop equipment is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fabrication shop environment.

Hiring Process

Compensation

• $20.00 to $30.00 per hour
• Starting pay based on experience and practical skills evaluation
• Morning shift: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
