Acara Solutions is seeking a Welder for a direct placement on Merritt Island, FL. You will read engineering prints and weld ferrous and non-ferrous metals using GTAW and FCAW per AWS standards, ensuring quality and GD&T compliance.

Required: High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years welding experience in aerospace or contract manufacturing. Strong blueprint reading and English communication are essential; AS9100/ISO9001 familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years welding experience with GTAW and FCAW.
  • Experience in aerospace metal contract manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to read/interpret complex blueprints, layouts, drawings, and instructions.
  • Must be able to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces, adhering to quality standards.
  • Performs dimensional and visual inspections of Fabrications as required.
  • Reviews and completes required documentation that accompanies work assignments.
  • Maintains a clean, organized work environment through regular 5-S practices.
  • Performs assigned jobs efficiently with high-quality workmanship.
  • Communicates defects and concerns with supervisor; seeks guidance as needed.
  • Works individually or as a team and may cross-train as necessary.

About the Opportunity:
  • Works from Engineering prints, specifications, test procedures, schematics, travellers, and verbal instruction.
  • Joining, fabricating, and repairing ferrous and non-ferrous metals using GTAW and FCAW per AWS D1,1, AWS D1.2, AWS D1.3, AWS D 1.6, and AWS D17.1
  • Familiar with welding types, call outs and classifications on drawings.

Job Requirements
What You’ll Bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ year of experience in Welding with GTAW and FCAW.
  • in an aerospace metal contract manufacturing environment.
What Sets You Apart:
  • Ability to read/interpret complex blueprints, layouts, drawings, and instructions.
  • Must have or acquire and maintain basic required tools to support departmental work assignments.
  • Must be able to adapt to various working conditions.
  • Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in welding and machining of complex, close tolerance aerospace components
  • Experience with AS9100 and ISO 9001.
  • Knowledge of Geometric Tolerances, (ANSI-Y 14.5) drawing interpretation and shop math.
  • Basic math and geometry skills.
  • Vocational training.
  • Must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, all essential functions of the job.
  • Must be able to communicate in the English language.
