Job Title: Welder

We are searching for experienced Welders at our Mankato facility.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

At Door Engineering, a division of Senneca Holdings, we manufacture custom industrial and commercial doors.

Welding Positions and Hours:

• 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday, 4:30 p.m. – 3:00 a.m. (with some OT on Fridays)
• Weekend Shift: Friday – Sunday, 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (with some OT the following week)

Qualifications:

• One to three years of professional welding experience preferred, but we welcome all skill levels.
• Opportunity to train and pass the AWS D1.1 exam with our support.
• Ability to weld and adapt to other production stages as needed.

What You Will Do:

This role will work with Area Leads to complete welding assignments through final finishing stages to meet production timelines. The role involves collaboration with Area Leads and the Production Supervisor to ensure standards and schedules are met.

Summary of Duties:

• Review and understand project requirements.
• Read blueprints reliably.
• Laminate, tack, or weld according to specifications.
• Perform quality assurance checks throughout processes.
• Contribute to team success by being flexible and working in various areas as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Possession of an AWS D1.1 Certification or demonstrated ability to pass the test.
• Ability to learn new tasks and concepts quickly.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a fabrication environment preferred, including drilling, welding, and use of hand tools.
• Proficiency with handheld measuring tools such as tape measures and combination squares.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Adherence to SOP, quality, and safety practices.
• Effective workflow management to meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills.

Compensation: Hourly, Non-Exempt
