Job Summary

Responsible for meeting customer needs by:

1. Setting up and operating welding equipment to weld and assemble truck bodies, hoists, and fabricated parts (may include working Robotic Welder)
2. Welding in various positions daily
3. Maintaining a clean work environment
4. Supporting process improvements and lean initiatives by following process flow, being flexible, maintaining cleanliness, and suggesting improvements
5. Performing other duties as assigned

Tools Used

Welding equipment (MIG, Pulse, TIG), robot welder, jigs, clamps, computer, buffer, grinder, wire brush, cutting torch, hand tools, overhead hoists, forklift trucks, hand carts, measuring devices, air tools, etc.

Safety Equipment

Welding helmet, leathers (optional), safety glasses, safety shoes with metatarsal guards, face shield, ear plugs, gloves, etc.

Work Environment

Heavy industrial atmosphere with exposure to grease, oil, heat, humidity, fumes/odors, sparks, and occasionally cramped or awkward positions.

Qualifications

• Completion of TBEI – Lake Crystal Senior Weld Demo with a passing score
• Ability to pass welding certifications
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs., working in various positions, and using overhead hoists (up to 100 lbs.)
• Basic math skills for measurements and problem-solving
• Ability to read blueprints, instructions, and perform basic computer data entry
• Teamwork and flexibility to rotate jobs and meet safety standards
• Work schedule: Monday to Thursday, 5:45 am – 4:15 pm, with overtime flexibility

Additional Information

• Wage: $25.00 to $28.00/hour plus $1.00/hour premium when certified
• Pay: Hourly, bi-weekly
• Schedule: Four 10-hour days, with possible overtime
• Location: 52182 Ember Road, Lake Crystal MN
• Travel: Minimal
