Job summary

Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, seeks a 2nd shift Welder for its Lucas, KS facility. The role runs Monday through Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., with overtime on Fridays as required.

You will load fixtures, weld parts, and read blueprints to meet production schedules. The ideal candidate has MIG welding experience, strong attention to detail, and teamwork skills, with the ability to read AWS weld symbols and safely operate hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience and ability to pass weld test, as required.
• Attention to detail and ability to stay on-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong team player with good team concepts.
• Ability to read blueprints and recognize AWS weld symbols.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools and welding equipment.
• Ability to embrace Lean Manufacturing culture and implement change.
• Follow Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed PPE.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Load fixtures and weld parts as required
• Safely use all tools necessary for the position
• Maintain inventory accuracy at all times
• Read blueprints and utilize AWS weld symbols as required for the position
• Consistently achieve quality welds while staying on production schedule
• Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.

Preferred Skills And Qualifications

• MIG welding experience and ability to pass weld test, as required.
• Ability to give strong attention to detail and stay on-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Have a good understanding of team concepts and be a strong team player.
