Job summary

FIBA Technologies, Inc. seeks a skilled Welder/Fabricator to manufacture vaporizers from aluminum and stainless steel. You will read blueprints, lay out materials, and perform MIG/TIG welding to assemble high-quality products.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and lay out materials for vaporizers.
• Cut, grind, drill, weld, and test products per specifications.
• Operate cutting tools, grinders, drills, MIG and TIG welders.
• Read materials list to obtain part specifications.
• Layout, cut, drill, shape, and finish parts for assembly.
• Create and use jigs to improve efficiency.
• Compare assembled parts to blueprints and maintain quality.
• Maintain a clean work area throughout shifts.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder / Fabricator to manufacture standard and custom vaporizers using aluminum and stainless-steel pipe and plate. In this role, you will read blueprints, layout and cut materials, and utilize MIG and TIG welding techniques to assemble high-quality products. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of related experience, a strong commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to operate fabrication tools and material handling equipment safely.

Job Duties:

• Works with aluminum and some stainless-steel pipe and plate to produce various sizes of common and custom vaporizers.
• Cut, grind, drill, weld, and test products according to blueprint specifications.
• Fabrication tools include cutting tools, grinders, drills, MIG and TIG welding, and small hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.).
• Read and follow blueprints and materials list to obtain parts specifications.
• Lays out, cut, drill, shape, and finish parts for assembly.
• Create and use jigs as necessary to assist in efficient productive habits.
• Compares dimensions of assembly to blueprint specifications.
• Maintain high-quality workmanship.
• Cleans work area during and at the end of each shift.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Minimum of 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. May be certified AWS/ASTM Welding in MIG & TIG.
• Certified use of an overhead crane and steel handling equipment, Hazmat required. Will train in-house before crane use.
• Follows daily production schedules outlined by the group lead or supervisor.
• Follows clear, well-defined blueprints, sketches, and work orders.
• Proper use of fabrication equipment to cut and weld raw material.
