Job summary

Harbor Steel & Supply Corporation is seeking an Entry Level Welder (Level I) to join our manufacturing team. This hands-on role focuses on learning and performing basic welding tasks under guidance, including MIG and stud welding, with an emphasis on safety and quality.

As you gain skills, you will work closely with experienced welders, receive training, and have opportunities to grow within the organization. We value dependability, a strong work ethic, and willingness to learn on the job.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setting up welding equipment and materials.

Are you ready to build valuable hands-on skills in a manufacturing environment?

We are looking for a Welder – Entry Level (Level I) to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is dependable, safety-focused, willing to learn, and interested in developing a career in welding and manufacturing.

As a Level I Welder, you'll learn and perform basic welding tasks using MIG, stud welding, and other processes while working under the guidance of experienced team members. You'll gain practical experience, develop your welding skills, and have the opportunity to grow within the organization.

What You'll Do

• Assist with setting up welding equipment and materials.
• Perform basic welds on standard parts while following established instructions.
• Learn and apply proper MIG and stud welding techniques.

What We're Looking For

You don't need years of welding experience to succeed in this role. We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

• Ability to pass welding test
• Ability to follow instructions and established safety procedures.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Physical & Work Environment

This is a hands-on manufacturing position. Candidates must be able to:

• Stand for extended periods, including 8–10 hour shifts.
• Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Work in hot, cold, noisy, and industrial environments.
• Work shifts as assigned by management.
• Follow all required workplace safety procedures.
• Pass a required drug test.

Required PPE

Employees are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including:

• Gloves
• Safety glasses
• Additional PPE as required
