Pioneer Energy is seeking a Welder to join its team in Lakewood, CO. Pioneer Energy develops and manufactures proprietary equipment that solves gas processing challenges on the oilfield through the development and deployment of new technology.

The production team at Pioneer Energy is a small team of highly skilled, interdisciplinary individuals in welding, electrical, and HVAC who are passionate about their work. The team is seeking a Welder who is self-driven and hardworking, excited to learn new things, and able to get direction from multiple people.

Job Qualifications:

• MIG welding experience using flux core and solid wire on Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel.
• Experience welding carbon steel sch 40, 80, and 160 pipe.
• Ability to MIG weld structural weldments: square tubing, c-channel, I-beam, and so on.
• Ability to work with routing pipe in a dynamic environment.
• TIG welding experience is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and layout structural members accurately.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Work independently and with a team.
• Maintain a high degree of attention to prevent injury to others and promote a safe work environment.
• Execute assignments accurately, timely, and safely.
• Be organized, reliable, and dependable.
• Understand P&ID and fabrication drawings.
• Load and unload materials with a forklift.
• Operate an overhead crane.
• Assist welders and technicians in the shop.
• Operate bandsaws, power tools, and hand tools.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Use a tape measure accurately.

Physical Demands and Abilities

• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position as needed.
• Maintain good balance and eye-hand-foot coordination.
• Work in varying temperatures depending on the season.
