The Company: Davis Door Service, Inc. is a locally owned, family-run commercial door repair, installation, and fabrication business serving the greater Seattle area. Since 1959 we have provided the community with exceptional customer service while developing a reputation of being fair, honest, and dependable.

The Role: We have an opening for a welder/fabricator at our Seattle shop to assist with the fabrication of custom doors and related materials.

• This position is full time Monday through Friday with opportunity for overtime.
• Benefits provided: medical, dental, vision, life, paid time off, paid holidays, and 401k plan!

Requirements:

• Welding experience – Aluminum and Steel
• Weld in flat and vertical planes
• Examine weld for bead size
• Grind or clean weld joints
• Repair improperly welded piece and fill holes
• Position and clamp pieces together or assemble them in jig fixture
• Assemble components together using hand and power tools
• Clean up work area daily
• Experience using a variety of power and hand tools and be able to accurately read a tape measure
• Ability to build from plans
• Team oriented mindset but able to work independently
• Experience with operating a forklift is a plus
• Valid Washington State Drivers License and clean driving record is a plus
• MUST be able to stand for long periods of time
• MUST be able to lift 50 pounds
• A pre-employment drug test and background check will be required.
