Job summary

Apex Tool Group, LLC is seeking a Welder to join its Jonesboro, AR production team. You will perform welding operations to manufacture Apex products with speed, precision, and a focus on safety.

The position requires at least 1 year of production welding experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift 50 pounds and work overtime, including Saturdays. Join a global toolmaker with strong brands and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1-year work experience in production welding.
• Demonstrated welding ability.
• Able to work overtime hours (more than 40 hours per week and Saturdays).
• Stand and walk continuously for 8-10 hours, if necessary.
• Lift and carry 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs welding work and activities required to produce Apex products.
• Weld components at a fast pace and in vertical positions and downward motion.
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt components to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
• Select and install troches, torch tips, and filler rods according to chart specifications or types and thicknesses.
• Ignite torches or start power supplies and strike arcs by touching electrodes to metals being welded, completing electrical circuits.
• Connect and turn regulator valves to activate and adjust gas flow and pressure so that the desired flames are obtained.
• Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
• Inspect initial product and adjust as necessary to produce the quality product.

The Build (Responsibilities)

• Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
