Job summary

Apex Tool Group, LLC is seeking a skilled operator to support production by running equipment in the UJ Mill area, including Bridgeport, finish mill, hone, and tube drill. You will complete required quality and production documentation and ensure products meet inspection standards.

The role requires reading technical documents, following safety rules, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Applicants should be able to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Technical school certification or 1 year related experience.
• Ability to solve practical problems with various variables.
• Regularly stand, walk, use hands, lifting up to 50 lbs, and vision abilities.

The Blueprint (Role Profile)

Support production needs and other aspects of the business by operating various machines in response to customer demand.

The Build (Responsibilities)

• Set up and operate equipment in the UJ Mill area like Bridgeport, finish mill, hone, tube drill.
• Completely required quality and production documentation
• Use required inspection methods and gauges to ensure quality
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition
• Follow plant rules and safety glasses

The Toolbox (Qualifications)

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Technical school certification, or 1 year equivalent experience.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to continually stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms (overhead reaching), push or pull and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
