Job summary

EcoMod is seeking a skilled Welder to join our production team at our Hudson, Colorado facility. You will fabricate and assemble structural components by welding steel studs to steel shipping containers and perform precise plasma cutting, maintaining strict safety standards.

The role is hands-on and requires 2+ years of welding experience in manufacturing or construction, along with the ability to read blueprints and interpret weld symbols.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years welding experience in a manufacturing, structural steel, or construction environment.
• Proficiency in welding steel-to-steel and operating plasma cutting torches.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret weld symbols.
• Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods.
• AWS welding certification preferred.

We are looking for an experienced Welder to join our production team at our factory facility in Hudson, Colorado.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling structural components by welding steel studs directly to steel shipping containers and performing precise plasma cutting. This is a hands‑on production position that requires strong technical skill, structural awareness, and a commitment to strict safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Welding & Fabrication: Perform high-quality welds to securely attach steel studs to steel containers according to engineering specifications.
• Plasma Cutting: Operate manual or semi-automatic plasma cutting equipment to trim, shape, and prepare steel components to precise dimensions.
• Material Preparation: Clean, grind, and prep steel surfaces prior to welding to ensure maximum weld integrity.
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and technical specifications to layout and align components accurately.
• Quality & Safety Control: Inspect finished welds for defects or penetration issues and strictly adhere to all shop safety protocols, including wearing proper PPE.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional welding experience in a manufacturing, structural steel, or construction environment.
• Technical Skills: Proven proficiency in welding steel-to-steel applications and operating plasma cutting torches.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work comfortably in a manufacturing plant environment.
• Detail-Oriented: Strong measurement skills and ability to verify work against blueprints or templates.
• Professional Certification (AWS welding certificate) is preferred
