You will read blueprints, set up and run MIG, TIG, or stick welding, inspect welds, and assist with fabrication and repairs. A safety-focused mindset and the ability to work well in a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous professional welding experience preferred.
• Experience in marine, shipyard, industrial, structural, or heavy fabrication is a plus.
• Ability to read measurements and follow work instructions.
• Safety-focused mindset and PPE adherence.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication work on metal components and structures.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications.
• Set up and operate welding equipment and tools.
• Perform MIG, TIG, or stick welding as required.
• Weld various types and thicknesses of metal.
• Inspect welds for quality, strength, and accuracy.
• Grind, cut, fit, and prepare metal prior to welding.
• Assist with fabrication, assembly, and repair projects.
• Measure and align materials to ensure proper fit and specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
