Job summary

Belcan is seeking an experienced welder to operate and troubleshoot both manual and automatic welding systems in a fast-paced shop environment. You will read product drawings, interpret weld symbols, and adjust processes to meet conformance standards while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualified candidates have at least 8 years of welding experience and can become certified to AWS D17.1.2001. Proper handling of parts and adherence to quality requirements are essential for success in this

• Able to read drawings, weld symbols, procedures and quality requirements; manual dexterity required.

Job description

Pay Range : $28+ DOE (depending on skills and experiences)

Following established procedures, responsibilities may include some or all the following:

Properly set up and operate manual and automatic welding systems per work instructions and good welding practices.

Positions and adjusts fixtures, attachments, or workpiece on machine, using visual acuity, hand tools and measuring devices.

Adjust, within procedural limits, to fine-tune the process to achieve conformance standards.

Read and understand product and process drawings, procedures, weld symbols, and quality requirements.

Performs proper pre-weld cleaning and handling of parts.

Inspects hardware to ensure specifications are met, by visual inspection and measuring devices.

Maintain a high level of performance while following appropriate procedures and observing all pertinent safety rules and requirements.

Maintain work area and equipment in an organized, clean, and FOD-free manner.

Qualifications:

HS diploma or equivalent.

At least 8+ years of welding or related experience or demonstrated ability to perform the described responsibilities.

Able to become certified to AWS D17.1.2001.

Able to read and understand product and process drawings, procedures, weld symbols and quality requirements. Must demonstrate manual dexterity.
