Zusammenfassung

BLADE in Ohio is seeking a skilled welder to join our frontline manufacturing team. You will operate MIG and TIG processes, read blueprints, and follow welding procedures to build shelters and environmental control units for defense applications.

Responsibilities include ensuring quality, reporting production data, maintaining equipment, and complying with safety standards. A high school diploma or GED and AWS certification is encouraged; training is provided to obtain required certifications.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED preferred and/or related work experience.
• Able to obtain AWS Certification in welding areas.
• Operation of small power tools and welding equipment.

Aufgaben

• Operate MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding processes per WPS.
• Read blueprints and measure with tape measure and calipers.
• Maintain weld quality and report production data accurately.
• Perform operator maintenance on welding equipment.

• Ability to operate GMAW (MIG) GTAW (TIG) and follow WPS welding processes (3G/3F)
• RWMA (Spot Weld) resistance welding processes and follow WPS welding processes
• Ability to operate an oxy-acetylene torch (brazing process a plus)
• Knowledge of weld symbols and where to look them up
• Basic knowledge of welding techniques, materials and equipment
• Proficient in using shop tools related to welding fit up (such as grinders)
• Able to demonstrate basics of blueprint reading, read a tape measure and calipers
• Follows both visual and written work instructions in order to complete assigned tasks within set time allotted
• Accurately reports shop floor production data via computer and/or written reporting
• Performs operator maintenance on equipment

Education/Experience/Other Skills & Abilities:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred and/or related work experience
• Able to obtain AWS Certification in all above welding areas
• Operation of small power tools, other hand tools, computerized and high-pressure equipment
