BLADE is seeking a skilled welder to join our manufacturing team. The role requires hands-on experience with MIG and TIG welding, understanding welding symbols, and ability to read blueprints. You will operate grinders and other shop tools to prepare joints and ensure quality.

Qualified candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and be able to obtain AWS certification. Safe work practices and adherence to procedures are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred or related work experience.
• Able to obtain AWS Certification in welding areas.
• Operation of small power tools and equipment related to welding.

Responsabilités

• Operate GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) and follow welding procedures (3G/3F).
• Perform RWMA spot welds and follow WPS.
• Operate oxy-acetylene torch; brazing a plus.
• Read welding symbols and locate reference data.
• Carry out basic blueprint reading and measurement with tape and calipers.
• Use shop tools for welding fit up (grinders, etc.).
• Follow written and visual instructions; report production data accurately.
• Perform operator maintenance on welding equipment.

Essential Duties:

• Ability to operate GMAW (MIG) GTAW (TIG) and follow WPS welding processes (3G/3F)
• RWMA (Spot Weld) resistance welding processes and follow WPS welding processes
• Ability to operate an oxy-acetylene torch (brazing process a plus)
• Knowledge of weld symbols and where to look them up
• Basic knowledge of welding techniques, materials and equipment
• Proficient in using shop tools related to welding fit up (such as grinders)
• Able to demonstrate basics of blueprint reading, read a tape measure and calipers
• Follows both visual and written work instructions in order to complete assigned tasks within set time allotted
• Accurately reports shop floor production data via computer and/or written reporting
• Performs operator maintenance on equipment

Education/Experience/Other Skills & Abilities:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred and/or related work experience
• Able to obtain AWS Certification in all above welding areas
• Operation of small power tools, other hand tools, computerized and high-pressure equipment
