ASME Welder/ Fabricator $18.00+ (based on experience) Day Shift Hours Full time

Local custom engineering and fabrication company is seeking an experienced welder to join their team. This position will weld and fabricate sheet metal into duct work, thermal/acoustic doors, tanks, washer and post rinse housings, and ovens as required by supplied drawings and calculations. The candidate will also weld various components to ensure a functioning system that meets customer specifications.

Our ideal candidate will:

• Read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols for fabrication
• Fabricate light gauge sheet metal
• Participate in all requested job-related training
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude

Desired Qualifications:

• Certified welders are preferred but not required
• Welding experience (Arc, Mig) required
• Ability to operate equipment (forklift, overhead crane, etc.)
• Ability to use measuring tools

Essential Functions:

• Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms
• Sit; climb or balance
• Lift up to 70 pounds unassisted
