Job summary

Qualifications

  • Operates welding equipment, torches, grinders, cutting tools, and other shop tools safely and effectively.
  • Collaborates with mechanics, field personnel, and management to complete projects efficiently.
  • May work long hours and be available on an on-call basis.

Position Type: Full Time

Well Werks Energy is seeking an experienced Welder to join our team. This position is responsible for fabricating, repairing, and maintaining heavy oilfield equipment used in well testing, flowback, rentals, and completion operations. The ideal candidate will have strong welding and metal fabrication skills, experience working with heavy industrial equipment, and a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Abides by all Well Werks Energy Safety and Operational Policies and Procedures. Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies.
  • Must abide by all Customer Safety policies and procedures while on customers job site.
  • Performs welding repairs and fabrication on heavy oilfield equipment, trailers, piping, manifolds, tanks, separators, and related components.
  • Inspects equipment to identify damage, wear, and repair requirements.
  • Reads and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
  • Operates welding equipment, torches, grinders, cutting tools, and other shop tools safely and effectively.
  • Conducts preventive maintenance and structural repairs to support operational readiness.
  • Fabricate new components and modify existing equipment as needed.
  • Ensures all work meets company quality standards and applicable safety requirements.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Collaborates with mechanics, field personnel, and management to complete projects efficiently.
  • Follows all company safety policies and procedures.
  • May work long hours and be available on an on-call basis.
  • Assists in maintenance of equipment in the field as well as in the yard.
  • Cleans and maintain rig-up trucks, trailers and heavy equipment.
  • Observes safe working practices, safety rules, and regulations by adhering to correct SOP & HSE procedures. Initiates job safety analysis (JSA) procedures and hazard recognition practices prior to any job task. Corrects hazards immediately or reports to the Field Operations Manager, District Manager, and/or HSE Manager.
  • Communicate effectively with employees, the client representative and/or other third party service companies.
  • Wears appropriate PPE as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualification Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or General Education Degree GED preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of welding experience in an industrial, construction, manufacturing, or oilfield environment.
  • Proficiency with MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes.
  • Experience operating fabrication and metalworking equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding work in a shop environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience repairing and fabricating heavy oilfield equipment.
  • Welding certifications are a plus.
  • Forklift, rigging, or overhead crane experience is preferred.

  • Requires appropriate PPE to be worn; safety glasses, steel toe boots, ear plugs etc.

  • Exposure to warm, hot and cold temperatures.
  • Primarily shop-based environment with exposure to welding fumes, noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
