Job summary

Trillium Staffing in East Chicago, IN is seeking Combo Welders for indoor, climate-controlled shop work with opportunities to move into field installations later. Primary duties include reading blueprints and fabricating Caps, Flanges, Nipples and other instrumentation components.

Earn $36-45/hour with 40–50 hours typical and a $115/day per diem for eligible workers. The position tests welding in 6g and TIG carbon positions, requires PPE, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass

Qualifications

• Must be able to read blueprints and fabricate from blueprint specifications.
• Experience with Caps, Flanges, Nipples or instrumentation components is a plus.
• Must pass pre-employment screens and wear PPE.

Trillium is now hiring Combo Welders around the East Chicago, IN area!

Trillium Construction is hiring Combo Welders for some shop work.

Work will be reading and interpreting blueprints along with fabrication of Caps, Flanges, Nipples, and other instrumentation work for a contract.The shop is indoors and climate controlled!!!Will be getting 40-50 hours regularly depending on the week and workload for said week.

Pay is $36-45/hour to start, could get pay raise if/when hired full time by company!! $115/day in per diem for those that qualify!! Will easily be enough contract/fab work to last through the middle of January/early February.Company will also be starting to do more field install work with the fabricated parts in February!This could last longer than the estimated 8 weeks in the shop if willing to do field work and possibly make this a long-term hire!Company will be looking to potentially hire some people full time if it's a good fit for both parties!

The company is strictly an industrial maintenance service, process piping, structural steel, equipment installation company.Weld test will consist of two assessments: 2" Stick carbon sch 160 in the 6g position, 6010 open root and hot pass, 7018 fill and cap: 2" TIG carbon sch 160, 6G position, open root TIG all the way out.Can start ASAP!!!

• - Must wear all required PPE and have tools for job or you can't even weld test!!
• - Must be able to pass all pre-employment screens
• - Must have reliable transportation to and from shop/job site
• - Must have shop and field exp and be able to read blueprints and fabricate off of blueprints
